FAQs

WHAT TYPE OF CHEMICAL OR CLEANERS DO THESE SYSTEMS USE?
All the Simple2Clean shower and bathtub cleaning systems use the same safe and government cleaners that you are currently using to clean your bathtubs and showers.  The only difference is the way those cleaners are used to optimize their cleaning power.

HOW MUCH CLEANER DOES EACH CLEANING USE?
All your household cleaners are still effective as those cleaners run down your drain.  Simple2Clean systems recycle those cleaners before they are wasted and continues to reapply them to the surfaces that need to be cleaned.  Since you will be cleaning your showers and bathtubs much more often, each time you clean your shower or bathtub, there will be less soap scum to remove.  Therefore, the cleaner will still be perfectly effective and relatively unused.  So, to minimize the cost of cleaner, you have the choice to recycle the cleaner.  The bottom line is that an average couple that showers every day will use about $5 in cleaner every six to twelve months.

HOW CAN A SIMPLE SYSTEM CLEAN SO MUCH?
The common, off-the-shelf cleaners that are available in your local grocery or department stores are capable of cleaning so much without any scrubbing. These systems use a different approach to applying and reapplying these cleaners.

HOW LONG DOES THE CLEANING CYCLE HAVE TO RUN?
The length of each cleaning cycle will depend on how dirty your shower or bathtub is at that particular time. With a fully automated Simple2Clean system, you will clean your shower every day or multiple times during the day. In this case, the cleaning cycle could be as little as one minute. A weekly cleaning would probably be 15 minutes.  But why wait a week.

WILL IT WORK WITH A CURTAIN?
Yes. Although the system works with curtains, a bathtub/shower door is recommended.

WHY THREE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS?
Each system has a different level of installation requirements. With the greater installation requirements comes greater convenience.  All three systems utilize the same effective cleaning power.  There is a level of convenience that is right for everyone.

All new construction will install the fully automated system because the additional time required to install it is very small.  In existing homes, some relatively small remodeling is required to install the fully automated system.  The amount of remodeling will depend strictly on your home.  When installed, the fully automated system provides the greatest amount of convenience and absolutely no work to use.

The Quick-Install is given its name because it is quickly and easily installed.  Anyone can do it and it only requires minutes to install it.  But it is permanent and with that comes the second greatest level of convenience.

The portable system is to be installed, removed, and stored for each cleaning.  It installs in seconds and can be used on multiple showers and bathtubs by simply and easily moving it between showers/bathtubs.

HOW HARD IS THIS TO INSTALL?
That’s the nice part of having three options. The fully automated system offers the greatest amount of amount of convenience. But for existing homes, it requires some remodeling to install. Since a small amount of the system is hidden behind the bathtub or shower, some remodeling of your bathtub or shower is required. For those who do not wish to forego remodeling, there are two other systems. The quick-install system is just like its name implies. It installs in minutes but does not provide the one button automation. The portable unit is just as its name implies. It is so easy to install that you can move it from one shower to another in just minutes. But you would not leave it in the shower once the cleaning is done.

CAN ANY PLUMBER INSTALL THE FULLY AUTOMATED SYSTEM?
Any handyman who has just a limited knowledge of plumbing and electrical installations can install the fully automated system.  The do-it-yourselfers who can remodel their own shower or bathtub can also install these systems with no problems.  These systems require no special skills to install.

IS RECYCLING SHOWER CLEANER SMART?
It depends upon the individual.  Each system is designed to give the user the option to recycle.
Some people take recycling very serious while others do not.  Recycling also means cost savings.

The cleaner that is sprayed on the shower walls and bathtub sides run off quickly.  As they run down the drain, these cleaners are still effective.  The cleaning power that they have has not been utilized.  That is a waste of material.  By recycling, these systems maximize the full cleaning potential of the cleaners.

As for germs and bacteria, will germs and bacteria grow any faster immersed in a cleaning solution than resting on your moist shower or bathtub surfaces?  Preliminary thinking is that the germs and bacteria are less likely to grow when immersed in a cleaning solution.  Plus, Simple2Clean is evaluating the creation of new cleaners that are especially formulated to optimize the cleaning power of the Simple2Clean systems while disinfecting that showers and bathtubs.  The new cleaners will have disinfect in them as an added benefit.

In addition, the germs and that bacteria on your shower and bathtub surfaces are currently growing between each of your manual cleanings.  Most people would prefer to remove the germs and bacteria from the shower surfaces before their next shower.  That is what the Simple2Clean systems do.
